This program helps your squadron/club with becoming the starting point with that unit so that have a building block of the on the water as it is common for certain classes of boats to be operated by single individuals driven by a single goal which is "single-handed" operatives. While there still us the USPS/ABC being the assistants to the scouts or even on-board said vessels of the "single-hands" our involvement for these "single-hands" is to help as an observer or adviser to guide them through. This program called the Single-handed Sea Scout helps in this process and the primer document below created by us the USPS/ABC helps scouting where it can be hard for a unit to be started as in hours drives to get to a unit.
Neptune’s Gambit is a new innovative 5 day cruise program to teach leadership skills through creation of adventure for apprentice members but can be used for all ages. USPS’s Neptune’s Gambit takes a 21st century approach to teaching leadership styles to help advance USPS Squadrons/Clubs leadership teams by using the Cruise and Rendezvous program of USPS, ABC. The course makes extensive use of leadership styles that is unique by using the experience outside the classroom in our program including hands-on skills team building and leadership skills while out on cruises to help offer unique teaching methods to leadership. Because Neptune’s Gambit is based on the idea of experience on the trek the course takes the idea of growth in leadership by what trek experience is used. Either that be a short Cruise and Rendezvous or a longer Cruise and Rendezvous. Extensive Power Points and teaching tools have been developed for each day and topics. These are constantly being augmented and enhanced when doing Neptune’s Gambit. When doing Neptune’s Gambit always use the most current tools. Due to the Neptune’s Gambit being a program that doesn’t use the classroom delivery as most leadership courses, it is recommended to create hands-on tools to present the program or using easily transportable tablets and/or laptops to offer the best experience of the program. Upon successful completion of Neptune’s Gambit your participants will have learned new basic skills and knowledge to help the future of USPS, ABC. Below is the Instructor manual and student kit for the Neptune's Gambit program.
